RICHMOND, Ind. – Susan K. Cook, age 80, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Golden LivingCenter - Golden Rule surrounded by her family. Born January 31, 1942, in Richmond, Indiana, to Richard and Pauline Schuerman Thistlethwaite, Susan was a life-long resident of this community. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Susan enjoyed taking care of her home and doing yard work. She loved her family dearly and was thrilled to become a grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James Cook; children, Cindy (David) Kelly of Hagerstown, Indiana, and Kevin (Kimberly) Cook of Richmond; grandchildren, Lindsey (Patrick) Siegert, Amanda (Grant) Riley, Josh (Andrea) Kelly, Mackenzie Cook, and Mallory Cook; great-grandchildren, Reed, Quinn, Liv, and Parker; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mark Thistlethwaite; and sister-in-law, Sherrill Thistlethwaite. Visitation for Susan K. Cook will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Daniel Nugent officiating. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery.
