FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Jeffrey S. Sheets, age 61, formerly of Richmond, Indiana, died Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. Jeff was born on September 22, 1959, in Richmond, Indiana, to Jesse T. and Naomi G. Freeman Sheets Sr. He was a painter by trade. Survivors include his son, Justin Sheets of Richmond; grandson, Xander Sheets of Hamilton, Ohio; siblings, Carolyn Abbott, Vickie Fleenor, Rebecca (William) Spradling, and Richard L. (Lynda) Sheets, all of Richmond, Jesse T. (Shirley) Sheets Jr. of Mason, Ohio, and Steven Sheets of Richmond; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elizabeth Brown. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we regret to inform you that services for Jeffrey S. Sheets will be private. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
