James David Bussen

RICHMOND, Ind. – James David Bussen, age 85, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Arbor Trace. Born September 2, 1936, in Richmond, Indiana, to Urban Leo and Gladys Garnet Dungan Bussen, James was a life-long resident of this community. He graduated from Richmond High School and attended Indiana University. James served in the U.S. Army. He worked for many companies over the years, but spent most of his career as a dispatcher and logistics coordinator at Commercial Motor Freight. James had also been a car salesman and an insurance agent. He was a former member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Iris Nadine Bussen; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Bussen of Oxford, Ohio, Victoria Ann (Bob) Martin of Selma, North Carolina, and Teresa Rose Hale of Richmond; son, Timothy Alan (Cathy) Bussen of Lewisville, Texas; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy of Illinois; sisters-in-law, Brenda of Ohio and Donna of Arizona; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha Jane Roser; and brother, Tom Bussen. There will be no services for James David Bussen. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
