She was born June 25, 1918, in Richmond to Henry and Emma Miller Gill. Hilda was a graduate of Morton High School and was a playground supervisor at Glen Miller Park. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. Survivors include her daughters, Jill Maines and husband Chuck, and Jane Owens, both of Richmond; son, Jeff Miller and wife Rene of Richmond; grandchildren, Jerry Needles, Ryan Owens, Jason Needles, Jessica Maines, Chad Miller and Jonathan Miller; eight grandchildren; and her dog, Girl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Miller who died in 1974; her parents; and son, Melwood Anderson Jr. A graveside service for Hilda V.
