Obituary:
RICHMOND, Ind. LeRoy Mullins, age 76, of Richmond, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at his home. Born April 9, 1936, in Johnetta, Kentucky, to Taylor and Louisa Jones Mullins, he lived in this area most of his life. LeRoy was a U.S. Army veteran assigned to Travis Air Force Base with a Nike Missile Battery. He retired from Natco as an electrician after 23 years and worked in security at Milestone. LeRoy attended Calvary Baptist Church. He loved country music, rides in the country, and traveling. His family was very close to his heart. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Vinnie L. Steele Mullins, to whom he was married December 11, 1954; daughter, Linda (Brian) Eakin of Lansing, Michigan; sons, Tommy (Lisa) Mullins and James (Sheena) Mullins, both of Richmond; five grandchildren, Daniel Eakin, Amanda Batten, Mikayla Mullins, Steven Mullins, and Hailie Mullins; great-granddaughter, Elayne Batten; sisters, June (Jesse) Boggs of Centerville and Rosie Stover of Williston, Florida; brother, Jimmy Mullins of Manassas Park, Virginia; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah L. Mullins; parents; and sister, Barbara Mullins. Visitation for LeRoy Mullins will be from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Curt Nies officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
