Obituary:
RICHMOND, Ind. Norman Esmond Terrell, age 83, of Richmond, died Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Forest Park Health Campus. Born February 28, 1929, in Williams, Indiana, to Hubert Henry and Ava Short Terrell, he lived in the Richmond area for more than 55 years. Norman was a 1947 graduate of Williams High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving with the 7th Infantry Division during the Korean War. He retired in 1991 as an Engineer after more than 40 years with Conrail (Penn Central). Norman was a proud lifetime member of the NRA. He loved his life, his family, and his friends. Survivors include his children, Greg Terrell of Richmond, JScott Terrell of Illinois, and Sally (Chuck) Terrell Forbes of Florida; daughter-in-law, Karen Steele; grandchildren, Misty (Dave) Newman, Shelby Terrell, Joseph Terrell, Analiese Terrell, Kendall Forbes, Luke Forbes, Kimberly (Kriston) Horn, and Ryan Steele; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Cameron Newman and Grayson and Noah Horn; brother, Gene (Joyce) Terrell of Georgia; niece; nephew; many friends including special friends, Jim Hackney and Geraldene Toney; and caregivers including Carolyn Dils. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jeanne Terrell in 2006; step-son, Chris Steele; daughter-in-law, Sandy Terrell; parents; and grandson, Austin Terrell. Memorial visitation for Norman Esmond Terrell will be from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013, at Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Kendal Harris and Pastor Dave Newman officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard. A private burial will be held in Goshen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: National Rifle Association, P.O.
