Obituary:
RICHMOND, Ind. Earl W. Caudle, age 81, of Richmond, died Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Reid Hospital and Health Care Services. Born April 25, 1931, in Cambridge City, to Jesse M. and Annie M. Wright Caudle, he was a life-long resident of this area. Earl attended Centerville High School. He worked on the family farm as a young man. Earl was in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Cornell Appliance and delivered bottled gas. Earl was a service department manager for Richmond Gas Company and retired after nineteen years. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and of the Richmond Evening Optimist Club. Earl enjoyed bowling and loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Katherine A. Caudle, to whom he was married September 11, 1955; children, David W. (Brenda) Caudle of Plainfield, Indiana, and Julia K. (Thomas) Charlton of Richmond; grandchildren, Jessica (Tim) Thompson of Indianapolis, Allison (Keith) Davenport of Eudora, Kansas, and David A. (Elizabeth) Caudle of Noblesville; great-grandchildren, Noah, Cosette, and Stella; siblings, Roy Caudle of Richmond, Evelyn (Maurice) Bane of Greens Fork, and Claude (Rosalie) Caudle of Greens Fork; nieces; nephews; good friend Donald (Jeannine) Miller of Richmond; and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Launa Ward, Mary McCracken, Willie Westerfield, and Barbara Howell; infant brother, Clyde Caudle. Visitation for Earl W. Caudle will be from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. David W. Caudle and brother-in-law Rev. Ted R. Lee officiating.
