Randy Lee Showalter

CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Randy Lee Showalter, age 59, of Centerville, died Thursday, November 29, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Born August 1, 1953, in Richmond, to Gary and Betty Corman Showalter, he was a life-long resident of this area. Randy was a member of American Legion Post #315. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Randy enjoyed riding his motorcycle, NASCAR, and was a Kyle Busch fan. He also enjoyed trap shooting and making “weekly donations” to casinos. Randy loved his family, especially his children and his “favorite” granddaughter and “favorite” grandson. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Mills Showalter, to whom he was married May 5, 1990; daughter, Mellisa “Missy” (Troy) Stanton of Greenwood, Indiana; son, Cory Showalter of Centerville; granddaughter, Brittley Deaton; grandson, Dylan Deaton; his mother; sister, Micky (Dave) Creech of Crawfordsville, Indiana; aunt, Alma Showalter; cousins; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Rick Showalter of Florida; and uncles, Ron Showalter and Jim Corman. A memorial visitation for Randy Lee Showalter will be from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond, followed by a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. with Chaplain David Garman officiating.
