Glenn E. Muckridge Jr. RICHMOND, Ind. – Glenn E. Muckridge Jr., age 81, of Richmond, died Friday, November 16, 2012, at Ambassador Health Care. Born February 25, 1931, in Richmond to Glenn E. Muckridge Sr. and Rachel Loper Muckridge, he lived most of his life in Liberty and Richmond. Glenn was a 1949 graduate of Kitchel High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Glenn worked in customer service at White Consolidated Inc. and Sears. He was an insurance agent with Farm Bureau. His last employment was as an on-site coordinator for Manpower. Glenn was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 1472 in Liberty, a member of American Legion Post 65, and attended Centerville Christian Church. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and bowling. Glenn had a great appreciation for music. He embraced technology and enjoyed working with computers, scenic photography, camping, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Sue E. Adams Muckridge, to whom he was married on September 9, 1989; son, David Muckridge of Arizona; daughters, Sheila Muckridge of Oregon and Jann; daughters-in-law, Charlene Muckridge of Texas and Mary Muckridge of Liberty; step-daughters, Sharon Maurer and Jane (James Jones) Maurer, both of Indianapolis; several grandchildren, including Levi Muckridge of Liberty; one step-granddaughter; great-grandchildren; sister, Leatrice (James) Arnett of New Paris, Ohio; half-brothers, Bob (Cindy) Muckridge of Indianapolis and Jim (Joyce) Muckridge of Texas; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Brian and Patrick Muckridge. Memorial visitation for Glenn E Muckridge Jr. will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Cochran officiating and military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
